india sri lanka
Recently some Tamil Nadu's politicians have started a campaign to stop Sri Lankan government humanitarian war mission in north. Sri Lankan government has started a huge mission to eliminate terrorism from country and bring everlasting peace to Sri Lanka. Now Sri Lanka army is in a crucial position and have reach. We think LTTE has realised that they are no longer sustain with present situation only with support from weapons. Therefore they have shifted from weapon to a political interference.
Although Sri Lankan army is very experienced and dedicated, Sri Lanka is not a wealthy or a developed country. So they conduct their war with support from friendly nations [India, Pakistan]. This is one and only weakness of Sri Lanka and LTTE is triyng to take advantage from it. Because of weak economical and political environment of Sri Lanka, it has to obey with powerful commands coming from great nations. LTTE is trying to use its last chance. They make a cat paw to force Indian central goverment to takeover a key decision on Sri Lanka.
I agree that India is one of great and powerful nation and Sri Lanka is not that much giant. But we must realise that both are countries with freedom to act upon their rules and regulations under supervision of world communities such as UN. Tamil Nadu or Central Government of India do not have right to poke into Sri Lankan decisions. Sri Lankan government has prove that this mission is for shake of people and only against terrorism which slow up progress of our motherland.

Nimmi Harasgama
Nimmi Harasgama is a Sri Lankan Actress. She has studied in London. She has received best actress award at Las Palmas international film festival (march 2004) for August Sun.
I think she is a very talented and tremendous actress in Sri Lanka. Most of Sri Lankan film lovers are exhausted by seen usual faces. She is a relief.
Some of films she has acted:
1. “Doctors” …. Mira Chopra (1 episode, 2005) - Leap in the Dark (2005) TV episode …. Mira Chopra
2. Madre Teresa (2003) (TV) … aka Mother Teresa (Australia) … aka Mother Teresa of Calcutta (International: English title: cut version)
3. Ira Madiyama (2003) … aka August Sun (International: English title)
4. Mother Teresa: In the Name of God’s Poor (1997) …. Christina … aka Mutter Teresa (Germany)
nadeesha hemamali
The award-winning actress also became the talking point of the masses after she did a superb job with the mike, dubbing for Pooja Uma Shankar who played the title role in Anjalika. The two complemented each other and are in fine terms today too. Tomorrow she will be dubbing for Pooja who is acting in her second Sinhala film directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya.
Nadeesha Hemamali is certainly full of life and natural talent. Her fascinating style has been appreciated by the masses too and she is the reigning best up and coming Sumathi tele actress too.
One really does not need words to describe her, but her words came so sweet when we interviewed the promising star to find about her life and career.
What are you up to these days?
"Well, it’s work, work and no play. My schedules have been really busy with a string of tele dramas, but yet I enjoy work. I also regret that I had to reject a few good offers due to clashes of dates. Some of my tele dramas are in the making while a couple of them are awaiting release."
You are also making your film debut these days?
"Of course, that’s exciting. I am playing the lead role in my first movie directed by Milton Jayawardana. The film is Prema Poojasane and most of the work has been completed by now."

We must be alert on Mani Ratnam's Ravana
Famous film director Mani Ratnam has started to direct a movie on story of Ravana. This film will come as three separate copies of Hindi, Telugu and Tamil with separate castes. As sri lankan we must be on alert on script and the whole movie as they can misinterprit our ancient king "Ranana" . As I heared from newspapers the character of "Ranana" is made as the evil cast of the film.
The film will also shoot in Sri Lanka too. As sri lankan with thousand years of great history, we must be alert on Mani Ratnam's Ravana script and we must not allow his to hide his good side of life. Ravana had forcely brought Seetha into Sri Lanka [his kindom], but he tried to win her heart in a soft manner [gave her gifts and kind friends].
