Sirasa being revolutionist of Sri Lankan TV entertainment has started new reality TV programme called "Mega Sangeeth". With 6 veteran musicians and several super stars will be perform in the program. Amal Perera, Kithsiri Jayasekara, Ashanthi, Uresha Ravihari, Aathma Liyanage and Nalin Perera are the 6 veteran musicians and they will be leaders of the 6 team and each will be given several super stars to perform and 60% of marks will be given by panel of Judges and 40% will be given by SMS or Phone votes of audience. Each day two teams will perform while 4 other teams' leaders working as judges. Each team will perform 5 songs per day and every day there will be 10 songs.
Pros and Cons
It is better to have a veteran musicians in the teams with the novices as they can guide them to perform professionally and allow them to be correct. Other thing is producers has selected a balanced team from wide range of areas of music such as hip pop. classic, film background, modern and stage
But when other team leaders give marks to performing team will they fair enough as they are giving marks to their own opponents! I think this point is added to make controversial and fights as those kind of things are required in reality programmes.
